April Favorites!
Hi,
Hope you all had a lovely April. As April came to an end, so did my maternity leave. Where have the past 9 months gone and my little baby. I just seemed to blink and bamm, she can now crawl & say her name. It doesn’t seem two minutes ago since I first went on maternity leave, in the last 9 months, I’ve become a mummy, gone from being a girl to a woman and decided to start this blog something I’ve been wanting to do for years.
Here are a few of the things ive been enjoying this month.
Fashion Favorites
New Look Frayed Hem Skinny Jeans
I bought these jeans spontaneously, as most jeans apart from high-waisted skinny jeans suit my shape. However I’m glad i took the risk and bought these jeans, because these are fast becoming my go-to wardrobe staple, to looking fashion forward and stylish, plus they flatter my figure. Click on this link to see how i previously styled these jeans.
Zara Striped Off The Shoulder Blouse
This top was my recent buy from Zara. I always see fashion bloggers wearing Zara, but whenever I visit the store, nothing ever seems to catch my eyes (apart from the Skorts that sold out a few years ago). As soon as i entered the shop, i loved this top and had to buy it. I’m looking forward to styling this top in so many ways. From wearing it with jeans, shorts and skirts. The possibilities are endless. Keep an eye out for future posts featuring this top.
I love how many ways i can style this t-shirt dress from wearing it with a denim jacket and trainers for a laid back style or you can dress it up with thigh high denim boots and fish net tights for an edgy look.
Beauty Favorites
Rimmel Self-Tan Mousse Dark Matte
Here in the UK, were now officially in Spring, so it should mean that i can wear skirts without tights, but the weather has other idea’s. One day it’s Summer weather, the next you need to wrap up in hat, scarves and gloves. If i use this fake tan once a week it means I’m always prepared for when the warmer weather makes an appearance. This tan gives you a really nice brown natural looking color, not too orange or fake looking. This tan also fades gradually so it doesn’t look unnatural. Its fast drying, the smell is not too bad (still looking for a tan that doesn’t smell of digestive biscuits). It also doesn’t leave my skin too dry which other tans that I’ve used, have done.
Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream.
The last month I fell back in love with this tinted moisturiser, As a teenager i never really wore foundation so this moisturiser was my go-to. It provides a medium coverage, gives skin a dewy color, & suits most skin colors. This moisturiser also provides a SPF.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Dynamic
This Lipstick is the perfect ever day nude/pink lipstick. This lipstick will suit most skin colors, is not drying, is a high pigmented color, long-lasting and has a nice sheen. I definitely would repurchase Estee Lauder lipsticks n the future.
This perfume is my all time favorite. It’s a long-lasting smelling perfume but not too over empowering. It smells of Parma -Violets sweets so brings back childhood memories.
Various nail varnishes
On the Ring finger I’m wearing a limited edition Kate Spade for Nails Inc this is a lovely metallic Goldish color, I then added a top color The Ted Baker Gold Glitter Nail Varnish. This glitter nail varnish is the best I’ve used as it only requires one coat to get enough glitter to cover the nail. On the other nails i am wearing Avon’s Gel Nail Varnish in Barely There. This color is the perfect nude color and has a Gel effect. It also lasts longer than other nail varnishes 3 – 4 days without chipping.
Thanks For Reading
Nicolle X
