February Favourites
Hi my beauty’s, hope all is well. February was my birthday month, so I got some new additions to my ever growing beauty collection. I’m a hoarder and running out of room. So I decided it’s time instead of buying the same products time and time again when I have draws full of similar products to use the products I already have. I’m also the type to run out of a mascara then have to buy 2 or 3 new mascaras to replace that 1 mascara even though I have loads already. Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this.
Beauty Favourites
This palette was a gift from my sister for my birthday. I love the packaging of this cute palette. It features 10 high pigmented shades in a range of matte, metallic and satin finishes. I love the colours as I love creating a rose gold/copper smokey eye. The eyeshadows are easy to blend and last all day. I will definitely be looking into buying more zoeva products.
Avon Big & Daring Mascara
After seeing all the hype about the Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara and reading the mixed reviews. I decided against buying it as I couldn’t justify to myself spending that much money on a mascara when I have a drawer full of mascaras already. After seeing the pictures of people’s full eyelashes using the Bad Gal Bang mascara. I decided to try out a more voluminous mascara so I reached for this one. This mascara definitely delivers on the va-va volume aspect. My eyelashes were longer and thicker than when using my normal mascara. Avon claims this mascara is clump free however it does clump but I like that look, plus my mascara has dried out a bit so that might be why. Looking at pictures of others wearing the bad gal Bang mascara i can see that this mascara gives similar results however I can’t say for sure as I’ve not tried the bad gal bang yet.
Johnson’s Baby Lotion
In my opinion, this moisturiser is quite underrated as a beauty product. Before I got into proper skincare, I used to use this to take off my makeup like my mum and nannan have done for years. It’s effective at even removing waterproof mascara and doesn’t hurt the eyes like some products can do. It leaves skin as soft as a baby’s bottom. Recently I’ve been using this for a morning on the days when I can’t be bothered to do a full-on skincare routine. Which ill be honest is a lot recently. My skin looks better using and feels more moisturised than when I’ve used some of my more expensive products.
Palmer’s Rosehip Skin Therapy Oil
After running out of my beloved coconut oil and on a quest to work my way through my drawers full of skincare products that I’ve been hoarding, I decided to try this. This oil is said to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry damaged skin and uneven skin tone. I used this daily after my shower on my stretch marks. I can’t see much of a difference in the appearance of them but I don’t think I ever will unless anyone knows of a miracle stretch mark remover. My skin feels softer and looks smoother though. The only downside thing about this was that I didn’t get the pump dispenser which would have saved product and a lot of mess.
Fashion Favourites
Another month another new hat. It wouldn’t be a monthly favourite without one. After dropping hints to my other half everytime I watched the Havana music video by Camila Cabello about how much I wanted a red baker boy cap and a mustard one. The boy did good and got me this beauty for my birthday. If I could have a baker boy hat in every colour and style I think I’d be very happy. #hatgoals
Another present from the other half, the boy knows me better than I know myself. I love statement earrings at the moment and these beauties certainly make a statement. These are actually comfortable to wear and don’t drag down the ears like you would think.
Lifestyle Favourites
Gordons Pink Gin
Towards the end of last year I rediscovered gin and fell in love. It no longer tasted like perfume like it did when I was 15 when I raided the house alcohol cupboard and poured half a bottle of gin and a dash of whatever you could find, (Disclaimer I don’t condone underage drinking and you should definitely not try it unless you want to be ill with a hangover for days). Thankfully my drink making days have come a long way and now my gin and tonics don’t taste like pure perfume especially with this new pink version. It’s so nice if you like gin you should deffo try it. It has a subtle taste of strawberries and raspberries. Plus it makes your drink look all pretty and pink.

Last month I fell back in love with watching my favourite bloggers on YouTube. I love relaxing after having a bath and doing a mini self-care session just watching YouTube.
