Hi, my beauties hope all is well? first of all apologies for the lack of activity both on here and my social media but big changes have been happening behind the scenes here at conquering the world in heels as we finally moved house at the beginning of the month. It’s been super stressful but were finally settled in our new home. Without further ado here are the products I’ve used and finally finished over the last few months or so and my thoughts on them. You can check out my other product empties posts here & here.

Product Empties AKA Trash Hoarding 3

Body & Hand Creams

Product Empties - Body & Hand Creams

Lush Dream Cream Hand & Body Lotion

I enjoyed using this body lotion, especially in the winter months when the cold weather and central heating were wreaking havoc on my skin turning normally what was soft as a baby’s bottom into skin as dry as the Sahara desert. However, after applying this cream it returned my skin back to its former glory. A little goes a long way so the tub lasted awhile. The cream is none greasy and applies like a dream (see what I did there), as its fast absorbing. My only criticism is that it’s not the lushest smelling cream out there.

Repurchase: Yes especially in the winter months and a tub lasts ages.

Dove Derma Spa Goodness Indulgent Hand Treatment *

I enjoyed using this indulgent hand treatment as a cleaner my hands are exposed to a variety of different chemicals on a daily basis and as a result of this are often dry and sore so using this cream on a daily basis really helped to leave them soft. This cream is formulated with omega oils and cell moisturisers to leave hands soft, hydrated and looking radiant. The cream was a really rich and greasy so I’d recommend applying before bed.

Repurchase: Yes as i liked the way it made my hands feel and the indulgent texture.

Foundations

Product Empties - Foundations

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse ~ 10 Ivory *

Once a staple product in many teenagers makeup bag myself included, however in recent times its got a bit of a bad reputation as a cakey foundation that leaves you looking tangoed. I remember loving this when i was a teenager and it is the first foundation that i used (read as borrowed from my mum), so i decided to give it a shot was it as bad as people remember or was we all just young and using it wrong?

I have mixed feelings about this, on one hand, i loved it & on the other i disliked it. I found when used as a concealer rather than a foundation I loved it as it was easy to apply and blend and provided me with full coverage, however if I used it as a foundation all over my face it would look patchy and the colour was a tad on the orange side, so overall I would say this foundation is great if used lightly and as a concealer but if using as a full coverage foundation then avoid.

Repurchase: Yes but to use as a concealer.

Loreal Infallible Foundation Stick ~ 120 Rose Vanilla *

Another foundation trend I thought I’d try was the foundation sticks. I liked this foundation as it provided me with medium/full coverage with a dewy finish. It was easy to apply due to its creamy formula. My one complaint, however, is due to its creamy formula is that it doesn’t last as long as a liquid formula.

Repurchase: No purely for the fact it doesn’t last as long as liquid foundation

Loreal Infallible 24H Matte Powder ~ 123 Warm Vanilla *

I loved the packaging as it’s such a cute little compact containing the powder, a mirror and a sponge so great for popping in your bag for touch-ups throughout the day. I especially loved the versatility of this product I could either use it a dry powder to lightly brush all over my face to set or use wet with a damp beauty blender to bake with. This powder set my makeup without making my makeup look too powdery.

Repurchase: Yes!!

Face Makeup

Product Empties - Face Makeup

St Moritz Bronzing Powder ~ light

I loved this product, it provided my skin with just the right colour of warmth without being too orange and as it contains shimmer it also added a natural glow making me look sun-kissed & radiant.

Repurchase: Yes i would but however it’s been discontinued but i saw a similar product of theirs to buy to try.

Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick in the medium*

I have mixed feelings about this product. The contour side added warmth and definition to my face but was a bit too orange for my liking. It was easy to apply and blend though. The highlighter end was a light coloured cream with subtle shimmer when applied it provided the skin with a naturally dewy glow. Overall the product was just OK.

Repurchase: No!!

Along Came Betty All Concealed Concealer Kit

I loved this product and now I’m a huge fan of cream concealers thanks to this beauty. This kit contained two concealers a Solid yellow colour concealer to cover up skin imperfections such as spots and redness. The other concealer was more creamy and had a slight pinkish tone to use under the eyes to cover up dark circles. Both concealers covered up my skin imperfections including cuts. It was easy to apply and didn’t look cakey and lasted all day.

Repurchase: Yes but sadly Tesco has since discontinued this product but if they were to ever bring it back i definitely would repurchase.

All opinions are completely my own and just because some of the products didn’t work for me doesn’t mean that they won’t work for you. All products were bought with my own money.
