What I Got For Christmas 2019

Hi my beauties, hope all is well. Hope you all had a nice Christmas and if you don’t celebrate it hope you had a nice break with your family. Without sounding a bit like The Grinch I’m actually glad that the madness that is Christmas is finally over and life and routines can return back to normal. I worked same as normal over Christmas so all the late nights and early mornings have took their toll. BAH HUMBUG!! I was incredibly spoilt & am truly grateful to all my family for my gifts and the fun we had over this break(sorry for been a bit mardy). I know there’s a love-hate relationship with these kinds of posts as it can come across as bragging but I don’t see it as that way I see it more as sharing the love and expression of how grateful I am for my family and gifts. Thank you to you all. So without further ado let me show you what I got for Christmas this year.

The ASOS Beauty Calendar

Even though this was a beauty calendar I actually waited (not that I had much of a choice), and unwrapped this on Christmas Day. The products inside weren’t that much of a surprise as I had watched the unboxing videos on the YouTube. What can I say apart from that I had to make sure I was getting a good bargain. This calendar contains products for the body, face, makeup and hair and has products from brands such as Elemis, Clarins, Clinique, Laura Mercier, Becca, Nars and Mane and Tail. The products in this calendar if bought separately come in at a whopping £275. I’m looking forward to trying some new brands that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford or that I haven’t heard off. So look out for some more beauty posts coming soon. So far I have used and love the wet brush it makes brushing my hair easier, gets tangles out easily without pulling on my hair. I have also used The Ordinary’s Hydrochloric Acid and love how soft and hydrated my face feels after. I have also been using The Crayolas Face Crayon in Steel Blue as an eyeliner it applies super easy, and doesn’t budge. The teal colour makes my green/blue eyes pop.

Lipsy Leopard Print Handbag

Another Year, Another bag. I love leopard print and my most worn pair of boots is my leopard print ones so this handbag will go nicely with them. This handbag is a decent size and should fit in all my essentials and more. It also has an handle and a cross body strap which is essential for me as I hate carrying my bag and prefer to have it on a long strap.

Candles

I love Candles even though I never seem to burn them enough. This year will be the year I get round to burning my collection. I got these candles for Christmas an Aldi No 14 Velvet Rose Noir Candle (the black one) that smells of a musk oud and rose (a possible dupe of the Jo malone rose and Oud) and the Yankee candle Cherry Vanilla (red candle).

Champneys Book of 8 Masks & Beauty Sleep Gift Set

I was lucky enough to receive not one but two gifts sets from Champneys. The book of masks contains 8 Masks, 2 moisturising face masks, 2 revitalising face masks, 2 eye gel masks and 2 softening hand masks (gloves). I’m looking forward to using these so look out for a review on them. The beauty sleep gift set contains a silk padded eye mask, a calming pillow spray and a calming temple Balm. I have been using these and must say I instantly feel calmer and get to sleep a lot easier and sleep better.

Pyjamas

Who doesn’t love receiving new pj’s for Christmas? I know I do and this years gifts didn’t disappoint I received one set of silk red leopard print pjs. The quality is amazing and I feel real boujee in them. I also got another pair of leopard print pj’s from nasty gal.

Luckies Smartphone Projector

I love novelty gifts like this, I’m looking forward to trying this as it will come in useful until I get my TV sorted in the bedroom as I like to watch the YouTube while I’m ironing and it strains my eyes watching it on the tiny screen.

Bath Stuff

Is it even Christmas if you don’t receive at least one smelly set? This year didn’t disappoint and I received a Jack Wills fruity bath gift set, numerous dove gift sets, and some Epsom Bath salts. I love the smell of fruity bath stuff and was actually running low on bath stuff so I’m now stocked up for a while. The Epsom bath salts have come in useful over the holiday period as all the late nights have took their toll on my body so found these help ease the pain and help me relax and sleep better.

I Heart Makeup Vending Machine

This vending machine contained 12 beauty items. 2 eyeshadow palettes one containing dark neutral colours and one containing light neutral colours. 2 face palettes, one containing a bronzer and highlighter and the other palate had 2 blushers. It also contained 3 lip glosses, a translucent setting powder and setting spray, a mash mellow beauty blender and travel size Eye brush set and a kabuki brush. All the palettes smell of chocolate and are travel size, super pigmented and super cute packaging.

Glamglow It’s Glow Time Gift Set.

A gift I’m super excited to try after seeing the masks all over my feed and crying into my cornflakes when I saw the price and had major FOMO but now I don’t have to thanks to my sister. The set contains, a full size gentlebubble daily conditioning cleanser, a Glowlace Radiance Boosting Sheet Mask and an Eyeboost reviving Eye Sheet Mask. The set also contains 3 travel size of the SuperMud clearing Mask Treatment, A Moisture trip and a GlowStarter mega illuminating moisturiser. I’m looking forward to trying all of these and will let you know my honest thoughts soon.

Isle of Paradise Let It Glow Tanning Kit.

Another brand that I’ve seen all over the gram and I’m already a fan of the brands founder Jules Von Hepp as he’s a Ray of sunshine and all about body positivity. I’ve been wanting to try these products for a long time. The set contains a prep it spray that contains vitamins that lower the skins pH and hydrate the skin for a longer tan, a medium self Tanning water that contains a green colour corrected for a natural looking tan. Last but not least a over it a magic self tan eraser that contains glycolic acid to erase the tan when your over it. The packaging is super cute and all are vegan and cruelty free.

Gin & Gin Glass

Now Christmas is the time for excess in everything whether that’s eating or drinking. I like Gin in all its flavours and many of its concoction. I received a Gordon’s pink gin and Whitley Neil Pink Grapefruit Gin and this gorgeous gold gin glass.

HUAWEI P30 Lite

Another Year another phone. As Christmas came around my contract ended and was up for renewal and my old phone was starting to play up. So it was a no brainer to get an upgraded Huawei phone as I liked my other one and found it easy to use, I’m on the android hype. The camera has a 120° ultra wide angle lense that captures everything perfectly and selfie technology that beautifies self-portraits. I need all the help I can get lol. It also has a memory card an addition that’s useful to save all my personal and blog photos in one place. I also got a free TV as part of the black Friday deal so a great gift for myself to myself.

Novelty Gifts

I love receiving random novelty gifts for Christmas and these are always my favorite gifts. Here are just a few,

  • A totes Pawfect Tote bag – perfect for putting in my bag when shopping to save on my plastic bag consumption.
  • Notebook and motivational pens – a bloggers essentials for helping me to be more organised I can jot down my to do lists, blog post ideas and shopping lists whilst looking cool.
  • A passport cover and luggage tag – this passport cover and luggage tag are a really cool design and super cute. My old passport cover has seen better days so I’m glad I got a new one.
  • Gin Playing Cards and Cards against Humanity – I used to love playing cards when I was younger cue me sunburnt on holiday avoiding the sun learning how to play gin rummy and chase the ace. I also enjoyed playing cards against humanity this Christmas with family.
  • Memory Jar – A jar where you simply write all the good things that have happened in 2020 and in the new year you can look back at the fun you had in 2020. This is a great idea because you sometimes forget all the fun you had r forget how much you’ve achieved.

Thanks again to everyone for all my gifts and I have been truly spoilt yet again. I am grateful to each and everyone of you for taking your time to buy me a gift.

Happy New Year to everyone and wishing you all the best for 2020 and here’s to us all reaching our goals, achieving our dreams and been damn fabulous.
