November Favourites

Hi my Beauty’s, can you believe we’re now in December and nearly the end of the year? Are you all ready for Christmas or are you like me and left it to last minute? I have a few people still to buy for, do all my wrapping & make Christmas cards. Here are my monthly Favourites.

November is officially jumper weather, I loved wearing jumpers last month. Whether it was a light ribbed polo-neck jumper or bodysuit , or thicker woolly jumpers in a range of colours. Jumpers are essential for keeping you warmth in the cold uk weather. My favourite shop for jumpers is definitely primark.

It’s officially glove season I rarely leave the house now without gloves, a scarf and a hat. These gloves are not only stylish but keep my fingers warm and toasty in the cold air especially when I have to hold on to the cold pram handles.

Natural Classic Henna Hair Treatment Wax Hair Conditioner

Last month I started using this henna hair treatment wax conditioner once a week as my Lush Jasmine & Henna Fluff Ease Hair Mask is running low so I alternate between these two. This one is an absolute steal at £1.99 from bodycare. You apply this hair mask after shampoo and leave on damp hair for 15 – 30 minutes while the steam from the bathroom activates the conditioning process and then rinse off like you would normal conditioner. The tub says the conditioner contains the finest hair ingredients and that if you use regularly it will make hair lustrous and strong. After using I’ve noticed my hair is less brittle, shinier and softer. It also has a nice floral smell.

Barry M fall in love eye palette.

At the beginning of last month I was lucky enough to receive this palette from Barry m along with some other products from their range as a competition prize that I won at the end of October on their Instagram page. (Definitely worth entering competitions) this eye palette contains 10 matte eyeshadows in earthy and sunset hues. The colour payment of the lighter colours in this palette isn’t that great but for £6.49 you can’t complain, as the darker colours in this palette are super pigmented and rival my smash-box ablaze eye palette. The eyeshadow looks you can create with this palette is amazing for the prize. This eyeshadow palette has become one of my go to staples in my everyday makeup.

Esscence pumkin waffles Scented candle

After reading all the reviews of this candle online, and how it’s a dupe for some of the more expensive candles that are only available in the US i.e. bath & body works. When I was in my local B&M I had to buy this candle to try after smelling it in store I couldn’t wait to get home and burn it. This candle has two wicks and the total burn time is 25 hours. It’s smells like waffles and warm syrup with a vanilla smell. It has a really homely smell.

Glade Warm Winter Hug – apple cinnamon and Nutmeg Wax Melts

These wax melts smell just like that a warm winter hug. As it contains 3 smells that just sum up winter and Christmas, apple, cinnamon and nutmeg. These wax melts when burning release the fragrance for hours and make all your house smell Christmassy (is that even a word)? The smell is not too overpowering and won’t give you an headache like you’ve just walked into the lush shop.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

I love this tv show and can’t recommend this enough to people to watch. It’s always sunny in Philadelphia is set primarily at Paddy’s pub in Philadelphia, and revolves around 5 borderline sociopaths who test the limits of one another and society on a daily basis. This series is definitely one of the funniest I’ve watched in a while. If your easily offended though then this comedy isn’t for you. Think friends cross with the dark humour of family guy. It’s available on Netflix at the moment but I’m unsure for how much longer, so get binge watching.

What were your monthly favourites??

October Favourites

Hi my beauty’s, hope you all had a good October and achieved your goals. I know I did. October for me was a relatively good month, it saw me move out of my moms and back to my home. I also got back into blogging more and smashed my monthly goals thanks to you lovely people who read and support my blog.  How was your October??  Anyways here’s what I’ve loved the last month.

Slogan tops.

Another AW17 trend I’m loving is the return of the slogan. Why say what your thinking when you can wear it. I own numerous slogan tops from the risky sayings such as I have no tits (my fave ever). Don’t make the mistake of wearing these tops to work as I once did, for them to later introduce a uniform policy …oops. To the powerful quotes like this Boohoo top featured reminding me to always stay bad ass no matter what. I also love this ” if the love doesn’t feel like 90’s RnB I don’t want it” t-shirt. I’ve seen this top on my Pinterest feed and wanted it, I tried EBay with no such luck so when I was in River Island and so it you know it was going straight in my basket. I wouldn’t normally spend £16 on a t-shirt but cuz I’ve wanted this t-shirt for about a year I made that exception. I love how you can style a slogan t-shirt in numerous ways. (Pictured).

Leopard boots

If you follow me on social media, you’ll know that I’ve been loving these boots. I’ve been after a pair of leopard boots since our dog chewed my last pair. So when I walked into River Island and saw these beauty’s I knew they were going straight in my basket. Even better there were reduced from £40 to £20.  I love how comfy these boots are and have got a good grip for this time of year. They also look great and are sure to make me stand out from the crowd.

Navy Baker Boy Hat

Another month, another hat. If you haven’t noticed by now I love hats. Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last few months you’ll surely have seen this style of hat all over your social media feeds. I love the style and colour of this hat.

Simple Eye Creams

Last month I tried hard to focus on a skin care routine. I normally use a Cleansing oil, toner, serum and moisturiser anyways but I added these eye creams into my routine. I use the Simple kind to eyes Revitalising Eye roll-on (green one) in the morning after my moisturiser. As this eye cream comes with a metal ball applicator roll on its easy to apply. It’s a refreshing eye gel that contains cucumber and other multi-vitamins. cucumbers well-known to reduce puffiness and wake up tired eyes. I suffer from dry eyes and find that applying this in a morning really helps soothe my eyes and make me look more awake.

I apply the simple Kind to eyes soothing eye balm at night as this is a thicker consistency than the roll-on.  This eye cream helps reduce puffiness and keeps the delicate eye area well moisturised.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25HR with Comfort Serum

At the start of October I ran out of my L’Oreal Infallible foundation (my everyday foundation), so i turned to my samples/testers which I’ve collected over the past year from magazines. I normally save these for on my holidays as i find this is the perfect time to try out new products and it saves space in your luggage. One of the sample i had was this foundation (well i had two). This foundation is full coverage which i loved, was easy to apply and blend, and moisturising. It didn’t look too cakey and had a dewy effect. I even got complimented on how good my skin looked while wearing this foundation. It also lasted about 8 hours. It also contains an SPF 20 which is ideal even in winter make sure you wear an SPF. I definitely will be buying this foundation when my samples run out.

Tassimo Coffee Machine & Coffee

After Five long months without my coffee machine i finally got it back out of storage and i cant tell you how excited i was about having a coffee in the morning. Its like having your own costa’s in your house. If you like coffee and costa’s id recommend investing in a tassimo coffee machine. If you like Bailey’s and coffee, i would try the bailey’s coffee you can buy for this machine. it doesn’t contain alcohol unfortunately but it means you can still have the taste without the consequences (if you’ve ever had a bailey’s induced hangover then you know). If your on a budget but still like instant flavoured coffees then the Nescafe ones are really good especially the toffee nut latte flavour and the mocha.

MindHunter Netflix Series

If you’ve got an Netflix account then i would definitely recommend giving the Mindhunter Series a watch. The series is set in the 1970’s and follows two FBI agents as they delve into the psychology of murder and get up close and personal with real-life monster. If your interested in crime and psychology, then give this a watch. I was skeptical at first about giving this series a watch but me and my partner binge watched it within a week.

What were your October favourites and what are your reccomendations to watch on Netflix??

June Favourites

Hi, hope you all had a lovely June. First of all I’d like to apologise for the lack of posting new material. These last few months have seen lots of changes in every aspect of my life. At the end of May, me and my former partner of 6 years and father of our 11 month old daughter decided to call it quits. So I’m back like living with my parents with a baby.

First night back at home I remember feeling upset and down about the thought of moving back home and been a single parent. I suppose it’s the stigma attached to the single parent status and being 25 theirs that added pressure that you should have a career, be settled down and moving out and here I was doing it all opposite. But then came on the news about the terrorist attack in Manchester, where 22 innocent people lost their lives many of them young children. I spent most of the night crying for those people and their families. Being a new mum one of my biggest fears is anything happening to my child or anything happening to me what prevents me from taking care of my child. As I kissed my child goodnight that night I realised I was blessed and we all are blessed for every moment we get to share and spend with our loved ones. It completely put things Into perspective for me no matter what happens in your life as long as the people who matter to you are alive and healthy, does anything else really matter that much?

Fashion Favourites

Pink Oversized Tailored Blazer with Ruched Detailing on Arms – Primark

The “IT” colour of the season is Millennial Pink. A few year ago if people would have said that I would even buy pink items yet alone love wearing them, and feature them in a favourites, I would have said shuuuutttupp (in my best Essex accent). This blazer instantly brightens up any outfit and makes it look put together with the blazers tailoring and detailing on the sleeves. You can wear this jacket with jeans, dresses, wear it at the office, and on a night out. It’s also lightweight for this seasons weather.

Pink Circle Buckle Shoulder Bag – Primark

Shock horror! Another item in the “IT” season of the colour. This bag definitely looks more expensive than its £7 price tag, with the bird detailing on the buckle. It’s also a great size for carrying my handbag essentials.

Gingham Black & White Checked Crop Top – Boohoo

This top has become my go to when in doubt on what to wear. It looks great on, fits like a glove, comfortable to wear, and is made from good quality material. I’ve been wearing this top with everything from jeans, shorts and skirts. I’ve also dressed it down in the day with a pair of flared hem jeans, and dressed it up at night with a pair of suede black lace up shorts.

Beauty Favourites

Sleek lipstick in VIP night spot shade red

I’ve been wearing this red lipstick for the last month. A bright red lipstick instantly brightens up any look and can take you from day to-night. I love this colour on me as before I bought this lipstick I would never have worn a red lipstick but I feel this colour suits me. It’s a long-lasting bright matte lip colour that’s not too drying. I will definitely be purchasing more sleek lipsticks in a variety of different colours.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Very Black

This mascara is a firm favourite of mine I try others but always try this one again and fall back in love. The formula of the mascara is dark and covers all my lashes it makes them look longer without clumps and doesn’t dry and flake throughout the day. The tiny brush also coats all the lashes and separates them. This mascara also doesn’t irritate my eyes like some other mascaras can do.

Nip & Fab  Dragons Blood Serum

This serum makes my skin feel so moisturised and dehydrated. I definitely feels that it plumps up my skin, calms any redness and stops it from looking dull and dry.  I use this serum in an evening after cleansing and before I use my moisturiser.

Lifestyle Favourites

Feast Of Fools – The Morganville Vampires book 4 – Rachel Caine

I love all things supernatural so after reading and watching vampire diaries, twilight and Harry Potter I needed something else, that’s when I discovered the Morganville book series.  The morganville book series revolve around a group of friends trying to stay alive in a town where no ones what their seem especially after dark. I’d definitely give this a read if you liked the vampire diary’s.

Pukka Night-time Tea

This tea is the perfect drink to have before bed as it’s caffeine free, contains lavender and chamomile both known for their calming effects on the body. I dunno how to describe the taste of this tea but when I drink it, I just feel calm and de-stressed and all cozy and ready for bed.
