OOTD – How to Wear the She’s a Lady Trend.
Hi beauties, hope all is well. How are we a month in to the year already? I’m starting to think this particular post is cursed as every time i’ve come to finish writing it i’ve come down with the flu. In today’s post, I will be showing you how I wear the she’s a lady trend in real life (you can read my catwalk trend report here), that’s practical for everyday from brunch with the girls, dates in the local pub (my fave) shopping and the dreaded school run.

The Trend Behind The outfit
One of this seasons biggest trends on the catwalk was the return of ladylike dressing also known as Bourgeoise. This trend sees the return of A-Line shapes, smart tailoring with soft edges paired with over the top blouses, and capes in nude natural colours. Heritage prints such as checks, boucle or classic animal print. To get the look i chose to wear a classic brown checked mini skirt with brown tortoise shell button detailing, i paired it with a high neck lightweight ribbed knitted jumper in cream. For the jacket i wore a tan trench style cropped jacket which gives me very Jackie O vibes. For the Boots i chose these brown croc print knee-high boots. to complete the look i chose to wear minimal accessories with delicate necklaces and a vintage style bag hat matched my shoes.

The Jacket
For the She’s a lady trend you want to wear a jacket with smart tailoring in nude natural colours or heritage classic print such as check or boucle. I chose this cropped tailored trench jacket in a classic tan colour that has soft edges on the arms. To wear this look now it’s colder you could throw a warmer jacket over the top in the same colours.

Basic Jumpers
For this outfit i chose to keep this look classic and wear the classic turtle neck jumper in cream. To get the look yourself keep the colors natural, you can to keep it classic like me or wear a pussybow blouse or a jumper with statement sleeves.

The Skirt
For this OOTD i chose to wear a check mini skirt with tortoiseshell button detailing. To get the look yourself you can chose to wear a mini skirt like me or choose to wear a skirt or dress with the hemline over the knee. To keep this look on trend keep the colour schemes muted.

The Boots
For this OOTD i chose to wear these brown croc print knee high boots as similar style were seen all over the catwalk . I picked up these beautys in summer and were a bargain at only a tenner and then a few weeks later similar styles were everywhere for more money. To get the look yourself choose knee high boots in either black or brown or muted animal prints.

The Accessories
For This OOTD i accessorised the look with a vintage style handbag that matched my shoes, wore minimal dainty necklaces and chose an check print headband in similar colours to my skirt. To get the look yourself wear a scarf either tied around your neck, wrist or bag, chose a vintage style handbag and wear headwear such as baker boy hats or classic berets.
