What I Got For Christmas 2018

Hi my beauties, hope all is well. Hope you all had a nice Christmas and if you don’t celebrate it hope you had a nice break with your family. Christmas was bittersweet this year as a family member who I always looked forward to seeing at Christmas is sadly no longer with us and I missed him greatly if you’ve ever experienced grief, why does it seem worse at Christmas time? I was incredibly spoilt & am truly grateful to all my family for my gifts and the fun we had over this break. I know there’s a love-hate relationship with these kinds of posts as it can come across as bragging but I don’t see it as that way I see it more as sharing the love and expression of how grateful I am for my family and gifts. Thank you to you all. So without further ado let me show you what I got for Christmas this year.

Llewyns Witches Calendar 2019

Is it really Christmas if you don’t get a new calendar for 2019. I’m interested in all things supernatural and would like to become more spiritual in the new year and each month this calendar shares daily colour correspondences, planetary motions, moon signs & phases, quick spells, tips & ideas for each month.

A Modern Guide To Reading The Tarot – Danielle Noel

I’m looking forward to reading this book and learning how to read and understand the tarot after having my tarot read in 2017. This book explains in simple terms everything you need to know about the tarot it works with most standard decks of traditional tarot cards and features the stunning artwork of Danielle Noel.

Work Your Light Oracle Cards – Rebecca Campbell

Different than standard tarot cards these cards are said to help you connect with your intuition, provide guidance, help with healing & connect you with supportive energies.

Loungefly Disney Villains Print Purse

I love Disney Princesses but definitely think the villains are way underrated so I’m loving the fact that their finally having their moment in the spotlight. This purse is spacious and feels really good quality.

New Look Necklaces

2019 will be the year I hopefully up my jewellery game and I love these two necklaces. The first one is a silver layered statement necklace that has a bohemian vibe and the second one is a star & moon layered necklace.

Nastygal Star Of The Show Crop Top

I loved this top as soon as I saw it on Helen Anderson and when my sister asked if I wanted anything from Nastygal for Christmas I didn’t hesitate to send her the link to this straight away. I nearly cried when she said it was out of stock so I was so happy when I unwrapped this Christmas day.

Sainsbury’s fig Leave & Elderberry Scented Wax Candle.

I love candles even though I never seem to burn them please tell me I’m not the only one who collects candles but never burns them. This one smells nice and looks expensive.

Mary Poppins Towels & Coasters

Mary Poppins was one of my favourite musicals as a child. I’m yet to see the new film but it’s on my never-ending to-do list. These towels and coasters are a lovely addition to the house & will surely brighten up any day.

Who doesn’t love getting new lingerie for Christmas I know I do it’s one of those things that I hate buying for myself.

This gift set features an eyeshadow palette containing 4 bronze shadows and two black shadows in different finishes, a rose gold blush, a lip liner and a matte lip cream. Prepare to see these products featured a lot here on the blog.

2018 was the year of Gin, I tried and tested various gin concoctions but my favourite remained this one.

Revolution Imogenation Highlight To the Moon Palette

This was a gift to me from me. After not buying makeup really throughout 2018 I thought do you know what you’ve worked hard this year treat yourself and I did just that & purchased this Palette it features 3 setting powders, 3 bronzing/contour powders and 4 highlighting powders.

A stunning silver bobble ring with a clear blue topaz stone, with drop earrings to match.

Zoella Lifestyle Warm & Fuzzy travel cup & Beanie Hat Set.

I’m not a particularly big fan of Zoella as I think her products are overpriced however I do love the design and colour combo of this travel cup and beanie. I’ve worn the beanie hat a lot already and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of this travel cup especially as its back to the reality of the daily commute.

Another hat to add to my ever-growing collection of hats.

I love the versatility of this top it looks great when paired with skirts and jeans. It has really nice intricate lace detailing and makes any outfit look a lot more dressed up.

Maybelline 12 days of Christmas Advent Calendar

Another gift to myself, I was browsing online the night before and saw that this calendar was £50. I love Maybelline products but I wasn’t about to spend £50 so when I was in Home Bargains and saw that this calendar was only £13. I picked up not only one for myself but one for an extra present for my mum. This was the bargain buy of the year as it contains 12 of Maybelline’s cult products such as lash sensational mascara, baby lips, strobing liquid etc.

Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Hairdryer Gift Set

This gift set came complete with a purple hairdryer, this fab floral case which is giving me Ted Baker vibes, hairbrush and sectioning clips.

Huawei Honour 7A mobile phone

After Novembers issues with technology, I’m looking at you mercury retrograde. I was in desperate need of a new phone but didn’t wanna buy one or spend a lot as I still have a year left on my contract. My other half purchased this phone for me & I love it so far. Switching from IOS to android was easier than I thought. I can also add extra memory via a memory card which is great for being a blogger. The battery life & camera is also better than the iPhone.

Iheart Revolution Mermaids Heart eyeshadow Palette

This palette will be great for summer as it contains 12 eyeshadows in summer shades from blues, greens, golds & bronze shades in a variety of different finishes, great for holiday.

A Holiday

I was beyond shocked when I unwrapped this holiday brochure and my dad & partner said they were treating me, my partner & daughter, for a holiday. I nearly cried. So expect to see conquering the world in heels doing just that and going on holiday this year.

Thank you again to all my family and friends for all my gifts, I’ve been truly spoilt this year and I’m truly grateful for each of these gifts.

GRWM – A Festive Makeup & Outfit

Hi, my beauties hope all is well and you all had a nice Christmas. With less than a week to New Year’s Eve, the time of year where it’s totally acceptable to go over the top and wear sparkles head to toe. In today’s post, I’ll show you my go-to outfit and makeup look for the festive period.

List of Products

The Base
The Eyes
The Lips

The Base

  • Before I apply any makeup I prep my skin following this routine that you can read here.
  • First of all, I applied two pumps of the Rimmel Long-lasting Foundation in 201 Classic Beige to the back of my hand and then using the MORPHE M439 Buffing Brush buffed the foundation into my face and neck.
  • I then applied the Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in shade C6.5 to my eyelids, a triangle under my eyes, down the centre of my nose, and on my chin.
  • I then set this using the Revolution luxury Powder in Banana using a damp beauty blender.
  • I then contoured my face using the L’Oreal Stick Foundation In 201 Cappuccino to the hollow of my cheeks, forehead and down the sides of my nose. I then buffed this into my skin with circular motions using my Real Techniques Contour Brush. I then do the same with the contour powder Can’t deal from the Revolution Imogenation Highlight to the Moon Palette.
  • I then applied the I heart Makeup blushing hearts blush to the apple of my cheeks using a No7 blusher Brush.
  • Finally, I applied the highlighter shades Limited Edition and Angelface from the Revolution Imogenation highlight to the moon palette to the cheekbones, browbones, centre of the nose and the Cupid’s bow using a fan brush.

The Eyes.

  • first I apply the NYX eyeshadow base in white all over my eyelid using my fingers.
  • I then applied the darkest grey shade out of the Barry M Smokin’ Hot shadow & blush palette to the crease of my eye using an angled eyeshadow brush.
  • I then applied the Black glitter shade from the same eyeshadow palette to the outer corner creating a slight wing and the crease of my eye using a Real Techniques definer Brush. I then line half of the lower eyelid using the same shade and brush.
  • I then applied the white shade from the Barry M eyeshadow palette and limited edition from the Revolution Imogenation highlight to the moon palette to my eyelid using my finger.
  • I then lined my upper eyelid and give it a slight wing using the NYX Epic Ink Liner.
  • Finally, I applied two coats of Barry M’s Feature-Length Mascara to my upper and lower eyelashes.

  • I applied Sleek lipstick in Night spot a perfect festive red shade and added the Estée Lauder Pure colour envy lipgloss in flirtatious Magenta. The perfect red gloss lip combo.

And Voila!!

The outfit

The festive period is an excuse to get dressed up and go OTT with your outfit. So when I saw this sparkly flared jumpsuit I knew I had to try it on. I was a bit scared at first as I was worried Camille the camel toe might make an appearance as in some jumpsuits they can be unflattering in that area but this jumpsuit was not one of those. It flattered my figure and wasn’t too long considering I’m only 4″11. I paired it with glitter boots and a black fur coat for full-on glamour.

All the Best for 2019

OOTD – How To Style A Checked Coat

Hi, my beauties hope all is well. The nights are longer, the mornings are frosty and it’s nearly Christmas. So it only means one thing it’s time to warn Ned Stark that Winter is coming and it’s time for your big coat. I’ve recently added a few coats to my wardrobe this year a faux fur number and this statement check coat that is featured and was a steal at just £20. I only popped in for a sandwich honestly. In this post, I will hopefully provide you with inspiration on how to wear a checked coat a casual look and one look that would be at home on the set of gossip girl or a Girl Boss.

The Statement Check Coat

Check coats are everywhere, at the moment all over the high street, on the gram and your favourite bloggers. The great thing about a checked coat is it looks great with anything and makes any outfit stand out, Whether you pair it with your basics or other statement items. The Images below are from Pinterest you can follow me here

My Checked Coat

I’d been after a checked coat or blazer for a while but wasn’t sure if it suited me and didn’t want to pay a fortune for a coat I wasn’t sure I was gonna wear. However when I saw this little-checked longline blazer/coat in a black and white check with mustard hues woven through. I knew I had to try it on and buy it. It was a steal at £20. It’s a mid-weight jacket so not the warmest coat but was perfect in the Autumn weather. However, it is Slightly slouchy now its winter you can wear jumpers underneath and still be able to move freely unlike some of my other coats. Unfortunately my coat is out of stock (fast fashion for you). But here are my picks from the highstreet.

1. Warehouse Checked Midi Coat 2. RI checked Avaitor Jacket 3. NL checked longline jacket

OOTD 1 – The weekend Look (casual)

This outfit of the day is just a casual look that’s perfect for those family walks and downtime at the weekend. In this outfit, I’m wearing dark denim jeans, a ribbed bodysuit, platform boots and a checked Baker boy hat. As the weathers got colder I would layer a thicker jumper underneath and layer a checked scarf and a beanie hat. In the warmer months, I would wear band t-shirts, denim jeans or skirt and trainers, sandals or ankle boots.

OOTD 2 – The Girl Boss Look

Now, this outfit is not something I would normally wear as its very Gossip Girl or Girl Boss. But I think it might just be one of my favourite looks. It’s a look you could wear to work minus the boots maybe with tights and boots or loafers instead.
